About my paccione family
This web site is dedicated to the memories of six brothers from Toritto who left their village in search of a better life. They came, one by one, and started families. I’ve traced much of their lives through family stories, Ellis Island, and the microfilm records at the Family History Center. I’ll continue to add to the site as I get new information.

Here’s to Domenico, Giuseppe, Raffaele, Angelo, Antonio, and Vito, sons of Giovanni Paccione and Marta Lavista Paccione. Domenico arrived first followed by Giuseppe. Giovanni, over the years, brought his sons Raffaele, Angelo and Antonio to America. There is a ship record that indicates the sister, Rosa also came to visit. She returned to Toritto and married there.

Antonio did not stay in the United States. His children were born in Toritto and left in the 1950’s. Salvatore, Giovanni, Marta, Domenico, Vito and Elonarda settled in Canada.

The family worked olive farms and owned property in Toritto. At Giovonni's death his oldest son, Domenico b1882, inherited the property. Domenico left the property to his nephew, Dominico, son of Antonio, who still lived in Toritto.
Alternative spellings of Paccione found while doing this research: Pacione, Pacerione, Pacciona, Peccione, Pacciane, Pacciene, Pacciono, Poccione. These spellings were used for various Paccione from Toritto going through Ellis Island.

The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
